Prime Minister Mark Carney made his way to Calgary on July 12, for meetings with leaders of Treaty 6, Treaty 7, and Treaty 8 First Nations, followed by a visit to the Calgary Stampede grounds.
Carney returned to Canada on Friday after a weeklong trip to the Middle East, where he attended the NATO summit in Ankara and made stops in Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
Several members of Parliament have also attended the Stampede, including International Trade Minister Maninder Sidhu, Heritage Minister Marc Miller, and Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre.
