This week splits clean: three days of genuine early-autumn sunshine through Wednesday, then a wet cold snap rolls in Friday and Saturday. Plan your outdoor moves for the front half, and save indoor shows for when the sky turns grey.

Start Sunday afternoon at the Saddledome for Regina at Calgary Hitmen—junior hockey, lively crowd, easy afternoon commitment before the week kicks in. But Monday night is where the week's biggest musical moment lands. Mico, the Toronto singer-songwriter who broke through with his 2022 radio hit "cut my hair," plays Jack Singer Concert Hall at 8:00 PM. He built his audience online through streaming and Discord before mainstream radio picked him up; this is the kind of artist who fills rooms with people who actually know the songs. In McKenzie Towne, Dnipro Village has opened as a sit-down restaurant serving Ukrainian home cooking—handmade pierogi, borscht, cabbage rolls—in an upscale but unfussy setting. Both are worth the trip if you are building a week of eating well.

Saturday brings snow showers and a hard cold snap (highs near freezing), which makes it a stay-indoors day. The Wranglers host Bakersfield in AHL hockey Friday night at 7:00 PM, and the Flames face Anaheim Saturday at 8:00 PM—both solid options if you want to be in the warm building while the weather sours. If you have only one night this week, make it Thursday: the Flames-Avalanche game has the energy, the stakes, and the moment that matters.
