Thursday's got music, commute shifts, and a quiet morning to start.

Morning. It's 12°C right now—layer up if you're heading out early, but it'll warm through the day. UV's running high at 6, so if you're outside for lunch or catching some of the CPKC Women's Open happening over at Royal Mayfair this morning, keep that in mind. Sun doesn't drop until 8:52 tonight, so you've got plenty of daylight to work with.

If you're taking the LRT downtown today, Route 111's got some planned detours in the works around Jasper and 95–99 Street area. Worth checking the details before you head in if that's your usual route—might add a few minutes depending on where you're catching it. The 118 and Jasper stop westbound is closed too, so plan around that.

Couple of things hitting the news this morning. The province just logged a historic zero-fire day for the first time in 40 years—worth a moment of quiet relief, especially heading into fall. On the harder side, youth violence keeps climbing in the city. Two teenagers lost this month alone, and it's weighing on everyone. Worth thinking about what support looks like in your neighbourhood.

Also flagging that a hepatitis A exposure was reported at a coffee shop over in Sherwood Park, so if you've been through there recently, keep an eye on any symptoms and stay posted.

If you're hungry, Lingnan's is still anchoring family dinners on the Ave—over 70 years they've been doing those egg rolls, which says something. If you want something different, Bazaar's brought Ukrainian street food into Station Park down in Old Scona, and there's HOM Street Food taking over Bibo's kitchen on Whyte if you want to try what Greg Sweeney's got cooking.

Tonight's got live music scattered around if you're in the mood. Moka Only's at The Starlite Room on Temple at 7, Jason Blaine's at Casino Yellowhead at 8 if country's your thing, and a couple other options depending on your vibe. It's a good night to be out—cool enough to move around comfortably, and you've got light until almost 9.

Stay sorted out there.
