Tuesday cool-down—sweater weather's back, and two solid shows tonight.

Morning's crisp at 12°C—you'll actually want a layer today after the warmer stretch. UV's sitting at 5, so the sun's still got teeth even if the air doesn't, and we're losing daylight fast now. Sunset's 8:40 tonight, so if you're planning anything outdoors or heading to a show, you've got your window.

The commute looks clear on the main routes. Nothing flagged this morning that'll slow you down getting across town.

On the local front, the City's eyeing ways to speed up that $1.6B stormwater plan after this summer's floods hit dozens of homes hard. That one's worth watching—it matters for where you live and what happens when the rain comes. Also good to know: Wizard Lake beach is closed right now because of bacteria levels, so skip the swim there if you were thinking about it.

Some neighbourhood good news: the U of A just opened a new $16.8M First Peoples' House on campus, a real milestone for what the university's doing on reconciliation. And if you're Parkview side, Andy's Valleyview IGA is back after two years away—familiar spot, familiar name.

For lunch or dinner, grab Cold Sesame Noodles if you haven't lately—they're a perfect fix on a day like this. If you're feeling something more substantial, Lingnan's is still the place for egg rolls; they've been anchoring Edmonton family tables for over 70 years now. Or if you want something different, Bazaar's got Ukrainian street food at Station Park in Old Strathcona—worth the trip if you're down that way.

Tonight's got some solid rock on offer. Soul Asylum's playing Midway at 7, and if you want something newer, Krooked Kings are at The Starlite Room at 8 on their Another Life Summer Tour. Both indoor shows, so weather won't get in your way. Pick your vibe and get out—it's a good Tuesday to have something on.

Stay warm out there.
