It's cold, it's a rodeo kind of day, and comedy's on tap tonight before the week swallows you whole.

Sunday's brisk and short—get out while the light's still there.

Morning—it's 1°C out there, so bundle up. Yesterday's wet snow might still be clinging to things, and you've got just under 11 hours of daylight before the sun drops at 6:47 PM. UV's low, so no sunscreen drama, but the cold's real. The kind of day that makes you pick your outing with purpose and head home before dark.

Bus-wise, a few route detours are live today: 124's swinging around the southwest, and 659, 669, and 663 are all rerouting in that same zone. Nothing massive, but if you're heading that way, give yourself a few extra minutes.

On the broader front, there's a fair bit of friction in the province right now. A judge has ordered Alberta government and AHS to cough up records in the Mentzelopoulos case, and there's been a stir at the Alberta Energy Regulator—they've rehired an executive who'd been fired after a 2019 scandal. A federal prosecutor also stepped down from the Alberta Law Society board over what she called "silence" on rule-of-law issues. Not E-town-specific, but it's the air you're breathing this week. If you care about voting, heads up that advanced polls for Alberta's referendum open Tuesday, and the questions on immigration are apparently slippery enough to read twice.

Eating: Iron Hive's been making waves with their Alberta honey meads if you're after something a little different—an ancient drink that's easier to get into than you'd think. If you're in Old Scona, Vagabond Pop-ups is opening for dinner in the old Wilfred's space at Wîhkwêntôwin, which is worth checking out if you're curious. On the harder-to-chew side, Island Brew Coffee House has closed up shop—a couple of years in, but the small-business grind in E-town is real. And if you've missed Yves plant-based stuff, it's back on Canadian shelves after being discontinued, so there's that.

Tonight's your move. The Heritage Ranch Rodeo is on at the EXPO Centre at 1:30 PM if you want to catch it this afternoon—genuinely a Sunday thing. Come evening, you've got options: The McVeetors at The Starlite Room at 6:00, Chris Higgins doing standup at Rick Bronson's at 7:00, Almost Monday at Double Dragon at 8:00, or Buck Pop's Guilty Pleasures Edition at The Buckingham at 8:30. All indoor, all warm. Pick one before Thanksgiving prep and the work week bulldoze the next few days.

Get out there. It's one of those Sundays.
