Three Edmonton Patios Made Canada's Top 100 for Outdoor Dining

Summer patio season just got a stamp of approval. OpenTable released its annual Canada's Top 100 Restaurants for Outdoor Dining, and three Edmonton-area spots made the cut.

Campio Brewing Co. sits in downtown Edmonton's culinary core, anchoring the list with a sprawling patio that feels like the neighbourhood's living room. The team serves Detroit-style pizza with real craft—The Big McDavid is a masterclass in layering flavour and texture—alongside house-made brews that demand a second glass. The vibe is buzzy without being pretentious, the kind of place where you can post up for two hours and nobody minds.

Happy and Olive rounds out Edmonton's representation with a patio that's become shorthand for summer in the city. The atmosphere is relaxed, anchored by a community-first ethos that makes neighbours feel like regulars on day one. Their mission statement—"an Edmonton destination where neighbours, friends, visitors, and families can eat well and connect"—isn't marketing speak; it's the actual energy of the space.

A third spot, Pyro in Sherwood Park, earned the nod but has since closed its doors when its partner business, L'OCA Quality Market, shut down. All three were marked dog-friendly on OpenTable's platform, a nod to Edmonton's patio culture.

OpenTable compiled the list by analyzing diner reviews, reservation demand, and other variables across Canada. With 18 Alberta restaurants landing spots out of 100 national selections, the province's outdoor dining scene is punching above its weight. For Edmonton diners, it's validation that our patios deserve the hype.
