Edmonton's Pride Festival returns for three days of celebration, transforming the Ice District into a focal point for rainbow community energy.
Friday, August 21 kicks off with the Divas Sing Along, featuring performances from drag queens and free inflatable microphones. Attendees will sing along to hits from Madonna, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Cher, and Britney Spears.
Saturday, August 22 is the centerpiece. The Pride Parade runs from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., starting at Churchill Square and making its way through the downtown core before finishing at ICE District's Fan Park. From 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., Fan Park fills with live music, drag performances, a marketplace, food trucks, and celebration.
Sunday, August 23 features an Indigenous Pride celebration running noon to 8 p.m. Further details are forthcoming on this event.
