Tim and The Glory Boys will headline Spruce Grove's annual Canada Day celebration at Jubilee Park, the city announced. The banjo and fiddle-driven bluegrass group is described as bringing "a blast of joy who shake the rafters and lift every heart in the room."
The band boasts millions of streams, multiple radio hits, JUNO Awards, and CCMA awards, having performed everywhere from Big Valley Jamboree to Cavendish Beach Music Festival. "They're not just a band – they're Canada's most joyful, unforgettable live experience," organizers say.
Before Tim and The Glory Boys take the stage, two other acts will perform. Achilles Last Stand, a five-piece rock band from Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, and Parkland County, will warm up the crowd. Launched over 10 years ago, the band covers a diversity of rock, pop, and country songs from the 1960s to today, often adding their own flavour.
Kicking off the night will be The Heels, a dynamic country trio from Canada now based in Nashville and the West Coast. They were crowned Country Group of the Year at the Josie Music Awards, and their single "Hush Money" hit number one in France. They've also won Group of the Year, Music Video of the Year, and Emerging Artist of the Year at the BCCMA Awards.
Their album "I Am" went viral on TikTok, topping iTunes Country charts in over ten countries. Their single "Take the Trailer" is now playing nationally on iHeart Radio. Since moving to Nashville in February 2024, they perform 20 live shows monthly, selling out iconic venues like The Bluebird Cafe and The Listening Room.
Their upcoming single, "Love, Heals," was produced by Marti Frederiksen and Desmond Child and written by Marcus and Levi Hummon (co-writers of Tim McGaw's "Cowboy in Me" and Dixie Chicks' "Cowboy Take Me Away") and Tom Douglas (co-writer of Miranda Lambert's "The House That Built Me").
