Alberta legislature adjourns after session dominated by separatism

Alberta's legislature concluded its nine-week spring sitting Thursday with the UCP government announcing plans to appeal a court decision that quashed a citizen-led initiative on Alberta independence. During the session, the government tabled a $9.4-billion deficit and passed 18 bills. The sitting was dominated by conversations surrounding separatism and dealt with an alleged leak of the province's voter list.
