Canada confirms first hantavirus case from cruise ship outbreak

Canada's first confirmed hantavirus case has been identified in a person from the Yukon who was aboard a cruise ship where an outbreak occurred. The national microbiology lab in Winnipeg confirmed the positive result on May 16. A travelling partner of the confirmed case tested negative.
