Leon Draisaitl is making the most of his summer. The Oilers superstar and his wife Celeste Desjardins — whom he married last summer — just returned from a honeymoon in Kenya, where they spent time at one of the country's most exclusive safari lodges.

The couple stayed at Ol Donyo Lodge in Chyulu Hills National Park and documented their wildlife encounters on social media. Photos show them encountering lions, giraffes, and elephants during their stay. They also took a helicopter ride over the region and arranged a romantic dinner among the wildlife.

The Draisaitls weren't the only Oilers players travelling this offseason. Earlier in the summer, they joined teammate Connor McDavid and his wife Lauren in the Hamptons. The McDavids also took a separate trip to Utah shortly after the Oilers' season ended.

Professional hockey players have limited time to unwind outside the season, making these trips a rare chance to step away from the ice. For now, the focus is summer relaxation — next season's push for the Stanley Cup will come soon enough.
