Father testifies in fatal dog mauling trial in Edmonton
Wesley Grist describes finding son after attack by two Cane Corsos
Wesley Grist testified Thursday in the trial of Crystal MacDonald, the owner of two large dogs that fatally mauled his 11-year-old son, Kache Grist, in April 2024. Grist described the moment he rounded the corner of the kitchen and found his son's bloodied body on the floor with the animals surrounding him. MacDonald has pleaded not guilty to criminal negligence causing death. Grist was MacDonald's roommate at the time, and his son was visiting from British Columbia for spring break when the attack occurred.
