Lime Technology Canada has taken over operations from Neuron across multiple regions, including several Alberta cities, and signals potential future expansion to Edmonton.

Lime will assume Neuron's operations in Lacombe, St. Albert, Beaumont, Blackfalds, Sylvan Lake, Red Deer, Calgary, and Airdrie over the coming months, rolling out under the Lime brand. The company will also operate for the first time in Saskatchewan.

Lime CEO Wayne Ting said in a statement that the company has "seen strong potential for the role micromobility can play across the country" through its existing Canadian service. "This new operating agreement allows us to deepen our roots in the country to ensure that shared micromobility remains a reliable, permanent fixture of the urban transportation mix."

Lime will work with Neuron and city partners to ensure uninterrupted service during the transition, assuming operations on a city-by-city basis throughout the coming months. The company said the expanded operations position it to potentially expand service into other regions, including Vaughan, Ontario, and Edmonton.
