McDonald's Monopoly returns with a $20,000 gold Quarter Pounder and a lifetime of free meals
The game launched Sept. 29 across Canada with over $400 million in prizes. A custom gold sandwich tops the list, but McDonald's for life wins for sheer excess.

McDonald's Monopoly is back, and this year the prizes got wilder.
The game launched Sept. 29 and runs until Nov. 2 in restaurants and Nov. 23 in the app. Total prizes are worth over $400 million — far beyond the usual burgers and fries.
The headline-grabber is a custom-made miniature Gold Quarter Pounder made with a quarter pound of 10-carat gold, worth $20,000. But the real flex is "McDonald's for life" — two free weekly visits for 25 years.
You'll also find trips to Puerto Rico, Kennedy Space Center's Visitor Complex, and Universal Orlando Resort. There's a 2026 Nissan Kicks on offer, plus shopping sprees at Michaels and Ardene. Smaller prizes include cash and rewards points.
You don't need to buy anything to play — you need a mobile device and registration for both the McDonald's app and the Monopoly Game. But game pieces come with menu purchases: Big Macs, Quarter Pounders, McCrispy sandwiches, McChickens, 10-piece Chicken McNuggets (20-piece earns two pieces), large fries, eligible breakfast items like Egg McMuffins and Hash Browns, and drinks. Not all items qualify.
The game is open only to Canadian residents.
