Two killed, seven wounded in mass shooting at Toronto's Salsa on St. Clair festival

Two people were killed and at least five others were injured during a mass shooting at Toronto's Salsa on St. Clair street festival on Saturday evening.
Toronto police issued an active-shooter warning at 8:20 p.m. for the area near St. Clair and Arlington Avenues. Officers responded and secured the scene shortly after 9 p.m., finding seven people with gunshot wounds. Two were pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses said they heard multiple gunshots followed by screams as crowds fled for cover. Paramedics were seen performing life-saving measures on victims within the festival crowd.
Police have cordoned off several blocks of St. Clair Avenue as the investigation continues. No arrests have been announced, and authorities have not disclosed how many suspects they are seeking. "A large police presence remains in the area as officers continue their investigation," police wrote in an update. "Please continue to avoid the area and follow directions from emergency personnel."
