Two high-profile Canadians have been stripped of their Order of Canada appointments following criminal convictions. Peter Dalglish, founder of Street Kids International and named to the Order in 2016, was convicted of sexually abusing two boys in Nepal in 2019. Jacques Lamarre, former president and CEO of SNC-Lavalin, lost his Officer of the Order of Canada designation after being found guilty of corruption and collusion earlier this year. The removals were announced publicly in the Canada Gazette.
