Nothing says summer in Montréal quite like grabbing a drink on a rooftop patio with the city skyline stretching out all around you. The city is full of restaurants and bars with sky-high terrasses where the views are as good as the food.

Bivouac, in the Quartier des Spectacles, is designed as a nature-inspired escape in the heart of downtown. The spot offers soft lighting, a warm atmosphere, and seasonal cuisine inspired by Quebec's terroir, using local ingredients and boreal flavours. Dishes are named after Quebec regions — try the Gaspé, a Bivouac burger with braised pulled pork, brioche bun, sweet potato fries, beet barbecue sauce, and caramelized onions, or start with the Eastern Townships, featuring duck foie gras, Port wine gel, and citrus chutney. It's a perfect 5 à 7 with friends, offering breathtaking city views.

Terrasse Place d'Armes, set on the eighth floor of the Hôtel Place d'Armes overlooking Old Montréal, offers a European-style escape right in the city. You'll find refined cocktails, niche wines, and fresh, summery dishes. The menu includes beef tartare or a simple cheeseburger and fries. Stick around for golden hour, which is especially stunning from this rooftop.

Terrasse Alizé, tucked away on the ninth floor of Hotel Humaniti, is an elevated rooftop oasis with a hidden garden filled with lush greenery. The space serves seasonal cocktails, Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, and BBQ dishes. Fresh seafood classics like fish tacos, salmon poke bowls, and lobster rolls are standouts. Grab a poolside seat on the colourful furniture, enjoy some lounge music, sip a summer-inspired drink, and take in the beautiful views.

Marcus, located at the Four Seasons Hotel Montréal, is a chic urban brasserie offering everything from lively breakfasts to late-night cocktails. Signature dishes include fresh pasta with lobster and chilli, grilled octopus, and a double-cut lamb chop. The restaurant also runs a bustling raw bar serving lobster and crab, sashimi, and a seafood tower.
