Fierté Montreal returns with 100+ local artists, drag shows, July 31–Aug 9
Montreal's 20th Pride Week brings a 10-day festival to the Village with free stages every evening, culminating in a tens-of-thousands-strong parade on August 9.
Fierté Montreal is bringing Pride back to the Village this summer with the largest LGBTQ+ gathering in the French-speaking world.
The 20th edition runs July 31 through August 9, featuring over 100 mostly local artists performing on stages throughout the neighborhood. Most events are free.
The festival kicks off July 31 with drag night featuring the Course Capotée, followed by Latin dancing, cabaret, and Bollywood performances across the week. Shows run nightly at 7 p.m. on the Loto-Quebec Stage at the corner of Papineau Avenue and Sainte-Catherine Street East.
Drag performer Rita Baga, a Canada's Drag Race finalist, will headline La Soirée 100% Drag on August 7 alongside Barbada. "I think it has been a rough year for the communities in general, so it is an occasion to just enjoy what we are offering to you," Baga said. "And obviously we're trying to just add a little bit of political powder in our show, but it's gonna be epic."
The festival concludes August 9 with a pride parade through the Village drawing tens of thousands. A full lineup is available on the Fierté Montreal website.
