Jazz dominates the weekend across Quebec, with performances indoors and out. At PHI in Montreal, John Coltrane's album A Love Supreme plays as an immersive experience in the Habitat sonore—a celebration of the jazz legend's centennial, running through September 13.

Turning east, the Festival Québec Jazz offers entirely free outdoor programming. Through Sunday, the avenue Maguire and other quarters of Quebec City host concerts, including the Quatuor Jérémie Carrier on Friday and singer-guitarist Sahad on Saturday.

In Trois-Rivières, FestiVoix launches this weekend and runs through July 5. Friday brings Lost Frequencies and Cœur de pirate; Saturday features Ice Cube, Koriass, Nathalie Simard, and Sarahmée; Sunday, Marie-Mai and Radio Radio. The full run also includes Angine de Poitrine and Daniel Bélanger.

Gaspésie's Festival en chanson de Petite-Vallée kicks off this weekend too. Marjo, the legendary rocker, performs and stars in a tribute concert Sunday. France D'Amour sings Saturday; Velours Velours, Sunday.

Back in Montreal, the Branle-bas d'Hochelaga fills Ontario Est street—between Darling and Pie-IX—from Friday to Sunday. The neighbourhood block party mixes family activities, street music, and circus performances: fire shows Friday and Saturday, clown acts Sunday.

Also this weekend, Vaudreuil-Dorion's Circus Festival (Friday and Saturday) offers rides, circus acts, and live music and dance, with Garou performing Saturday.

For heritage lovers, the Association des moulins du Québec celebrates Quebec's industrial legacy. The Journées des moulins run Friday through Sunday, inviting visitors to explore more than 30 working and historic mills across the province. Several offer special activities like milling workshops and guided tours.
