Just for Laughs is inviting the public to watch the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final for free at Place des Festivals on Sunday, transforming the downtown venue into a massive fan zone in the heart of the festival.
Thousands of soccer fans, Montrealers and visitors are expected to gather for the live broadcast of the championship match, which kicks off at 3 p.m. Multiple giant screens will be set up throughout the site to provide clear viewing, while bars, food concessions, roaming vendors, water stations and additional washrooms will be available.
Festivities begin at 1 p.m. with a DJ and Just for Laughs entertainment, following the opening of the site and concessions at noon. The public screening will conclude about 20 minutes after the final whistle, with the festival's regular programming resuming later that evening.
Players from CF Montréal and Montréal Roses, along with several Just for Laughs performers, are expected to attend, creating a mix of sports, comedy and culture in the Quartier des spectacles. Admission is free and no reservations are required, though organizers encourage early arrival due to expected crowds.
