Montreal police have taken a fourth person into custody in the investigation of a fatal shooting in the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough on February 2, 2025.
Ricardo Mathieu François, 21, was arrested in an Ontario detention facility on July 14. He appeared in court by video conference and is facing charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
The victim, a 55-year-old man, was shot around 11:45 p.m. that evening. Police responded and attempted resuscitation measures before he was taken to hospital, where he later died. Three other men were arrested in connection with the shooting in April 2025.
