Quebec's agriculture and food ministry, MAPAQ, is advising the public not to eat a list of ready-to-eat products prepared by Boucherie Blainville, at 1199 boulevard du Curé-Labelle in Blainville, because their safety is not assured.

The products are sold refrigerated or frozen. The list includes homemade veal and pork cretonnade, several salads including coleslaw, couscous, macaroni and Greek salad, and a spaghetti sauce. Fresh-product lots covered are all units sold up to Oct. 29, 2026. Frozen products covered are those sold and packaged between Oct. 22 and 29.

The products were sold at the Blainville shop and at a branch at 951 boulevard de l'Hôtel-de-Ville in Laval. MAPAQ said Laval-branch products carry a label showing the Laval address. The company is recalling the products and agreed with MAPAQ to issue the warning as a precaution, the ministry said. The safety defect is not named in the release.

MAPAQ said the products may pose a health risk even with no visible spoilage or suspicious odour. Anyone who has eaten a product and develops symptoms should consult a health professional. The ministry said no illnesses linked to these foods have been reported to it so far. Consumers with questions can write to smsaia@mapaq.gouv.qc.ca. The full product table is in the original release.
