If you bought ready-to-eat prepared foods at Marché G&G inc., 5000 boulevard Samson in Laval, do not eat them, Quebec's ministry of agriculture, fisheries and food, known as MAPAQ, says.
The products were portioned, packaged and sold refrigerated, and handed over by a clerk on request. They were on sale through November 4, 2026, and only at this location. The items can be eaten as they are or after simple reheating.
The ministry says the food was not prepared and stored in a way that ensures its safety. Products still in their original packaging and not prepared on site are not covered by the warning. The store operator is recalling the products and has agreed to the public warning.
MAPAQ says there are no visible signs of spoilage or suspicious odour, but eating them could still pose a health risk. No illnesses linked to the foods have been reported to the ministry so far.
