Grammy winner Jennifer Gasoi is known for her jazz-based children's songs, but she's also a serious hockey fan — and as the Habs face elimination, she's hoping her new song will help keep the city's hockey spirit alive.

"My goal is to bring joy, love, feeling of community, light and inspiration through my music," she told CityNews. "I think this piece does that."

Gasoi, a two-time Juno-nominated singer and songwriter, wrote "The Game in Canada's Heart" as a tribute to the team and the city's love of hockey. In a playoff run that's tested the patience of local fans, a reminder that the game itself — and what it means to Montreal — still matters.
