Montreal police are asking the public for help identifying a suspect linked to sexual assaults on public transit. The alleged incidents occurred on four separate occasions across spring 2025 and spring 2026 at metro stations Peel, Honoré-Beaugrand, and Saint-Michel, as well as on the 33 STM bus line.

Police say the suspect would sit or stand near victims and discreetly touch their thighs or buttocks. In one case this year, he allegedly followed a minor. The suspect is described as a man with dark skin in his 30s, 5'9" tall, with black hair and a black beard. He was reportedly seen wearing a dark beanie, red backpack, beige or dark blue jacket, black hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and ochre-colored shoes.

The SPVM believes there could be additional victims. Anyone with information can call 911, the SPVM's Sexual Aggression section at 514 280-8520, visit the nearest police station, or contact Info-Crime anonymously at 514 393-1134 or online. Information leading to an arrest could earn up to $5,000.
