Laval pharmaceutical firm Servier ranks among Quebec's best workplaces with 95% employee score

Servier, a pharmaceutical company based in Laval since 1978, has been named one of Quebec's best workplaces, earning a 95% employee satisfaction rating — well above the 62% benchmark for typical companies.

The company was among 75 organizations recognized this week by Great Place to Work for its 2026 Best Workplaces in Quebec list, unveiled at a celebration at the Hotel Bonaventure in Montreal. To qualify, companies must be headquartered in Quebec and certified by Great Place to Work based on anonymous employee surveys measuring trust in leadership, enjoyment of colleagues, and pride in work. The list is not a ranking; only companies with some of the highest scores in the province make the cut.

Servier stood out particularly for employee pride in company accomplishments, earning a perfect 100% score in that category. The company offers hybrid work, flexible hours, and ongoing training opportunities — benefits that have resonated with its workforce. It is one of 27 companies appearing on the 2026 list for the first time.

More than one-third of this year's 75 companies were not on the 2025 list. The roster spans global tech giants, pharmaceutical firms, retailers, manufacturers, marketing agencies, and law firms, ranging from companies with thousands of employees to small teams of just dozens. Two other Laval employers also made the list: Ardene, a fashion retailer with around 2,700 employees operating more than 200 stores across Canada and the U.S., and Acumatica Labs Canada.
