Showers and a risk of thunderstorms are expected to move through southern Quebec on Monday, August 3, before clearing overnight and giving way to several days of hot, sunny weather.

Environment and Climate Change Canada forecasts mainly cloudy skies Monday morning with showers beginning early in the day and thunderstorm risk. High temperatures are expected to reach 24 Celsius, with the humidex making it feel more like 33. Skies should clear overnight, with lows dipping to 16°C.

Sunshine returns Tuesday, August 4, with a high of 27°C and a humidex of 32. Wednesday, August 5, will be even warmer under sunny skies, with the mercury reaching 30°C.

Clouds are forecast to increase Thursday, August 6, bringing a 60 per cent chance of showers Thursday night into Friday. Daytime highs are expected to remain in the mid-to-high 20s.

The weekend of August 8–9 is expected to feature a mix of sun and cloud, with temperatures rebounding to around 30°C on Saturday and 29°C on Sunday.
