Three Montréal residents have claimed $1 million prizes through different Loto-Québec lottery games in recent weeks.
Joey Sacco and Anissia Vincenza Greco won a $1 million Lotto Max prize from the April 3 draw. They purchased their winning ticket at a retailer in LaSalle and discovered it among old tickets stored in a work bag—a typical oversight for many lottery players holding onto past tickets. Karina Fuentes Ruiz won a $1 million Extra grand prize from the August 29 draw. Fuentes Ruiz purchased her ticket online and was notified of the win by email from Loto-Québec. "Consult a financial planner about managing the windfall," Fuentes Ruiz said Montreal.
Winston Mangal, a Montréal resident in his seventies, won a $1 million guaranteed prize in Lotto 6/49 from the September 5 draw. Mangal purchased his ticket at a retailer in Ahuntsic-Cartierville. "Plans to use some of his winnings to spoil his children," Mangal said.
The three wins underscore a reminder that lottery tickets purchased across multiple draws can accumulate—and sometimes yield surprises years later. Loto-Québec was hunting nine unclaimed lottery winners as of June 2026.
