Fall recreation and swimming registration opens August 11 and 13 for Ottawa residents

The City of Ottawa's fall recreation and swimming registration opens next week as residents prepare to book activities for the season.

Activities are available to browse starting Tuesday, July 28. Swimming activities registration begins Tuesday, August 11 at 9 p.m., while registration for all other fall activities, winter camps, PA Days, and inclusive recreation opens Thursday, August 13 at 9 p.m. through the Register Ottawa system.

In-person registration is available the day after online registration opens during regular business hours at all recreation and cultural facilities across the city.

New users to the registration system must create an account on Register Ottawa before registration opens. Returning users should sign in and verify that account information is current, including family members and payment methods. The city recommends saving time by creating a Wish List of preferred activities and adding backup options in case first choices fill quickly.

Financial assistance is available through the Ottawa Hand in Hand program to help eligible residents participate in recreation and cultural activities. Additional information and frequently asked questions are available on Register Ottawa; tutorial videos are also posted to help guide first-time users through the system.

Winter activity registration will follow later: activities become viewable Tuesday, November 3, with swimming registration starting Tuesday, November 17 at 9 p.m. and other activities opening Thursday, November 19 at 9 p.m. Before and After School Programs still have spaces available at select locations across Ottawa for children ages 4 to 12.
