City beaches and outdoor pools are fully open for the season this Saturday, June 20, with wading pools opening Monday, June 22.

Supervised swimming is available at Mooney's Bay, Britannia, Westboro, and Petrie Island. Lifeguards will be on site from noon to 7 p.m. until August 30. Lifejackets and accessible wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Most outdoor pools have already opened, with the remainder launching Saturday. Each pool operates on its own schedule — check the city's website for specific hours and locations including Bearbrook, Beaverbrook in Kanata, Corkstown, Crestview, Entrance, General Burns, Genest, Glen Cairn, and Katimavik.

The city also offers learn-to-swim programs for all ages through its registration page. Wading pools are opening on a staggered schedule starting Monday, with some running limited weekend-only hours. Wading pool attendants supervise all locations during operating hours.
