Limp Bizkit and Cypress Hill delivered high-energy sets to cap Bluesfest's opening night Friday, July 10, drawing crowds through an evening that kicked off with rain but built to a peak of chaotic energy.

The rap-rock legends performed on the RBC Main stage, surprising the crowd by inviting an old friend to join them mid-set. Across the festival grounds, country music was the opening act's heartbeat — with CMA winner Cody Johnson headlining the RBC Stage in a boot-stomping debut that showed just how big the genre has become in Ottawa.

Despite the soggy start, crowd energy was unmatched. The evening featured a diverse lineup: DJ Champion, GOAT, Lloyd Spiegel Trio, The Longest Johns (delivering sea shanties), Jessie Murph, and many more. The festival runs through the weekend with daily programming across multiple stages.
