Acclaimed director Robert Lepage is bringing his version of Macbeth to the National Arts Centre next week, and he's going to talk about it first.

On Friday, June 5, starting at 6:15 p.m., the public is invited to Peter A. Herrndorf Place—the NAC's outdoor plaza at 1 Elgin Street—for a free pre-show conversation. Mani Soleymanlou will host an interview with Lepage about the production, which premieres that same evening.

The event is free and will run about an hour with no intermission. Bar service will be available on the plaza, so you can grab a drink and settle in before the show begins across the street.

If you're heading to the Macbeth production (June 5–13 at the Babs Asper Theatre), this is a chance to get inside Lepage's vision before the curtain rises. If you're just curious about Lepage's approach to Shakespeare, it's worth the walk down Elgin.
