Ottawa's Minto Group is proposing a 942-unit subdivision at the northwest edge of Manotick on a 47-hectare area of land on Barnsdale Road, just east of Highway 416.

The development would include 448 single-family detached homes, 396 townhouses, and 98 back-to-back townhouses. The proposal also features a stormwater management pond, retained woodlot, and parklands.

According to a planning rationale document, the new subdivision is envisioned as an expansion of the existing Quinn's Pointe community, located immediately east of the subject lands. The development will co-locate a new municipal park with the existing Pointe Park, expanding the size of the existing parkette to a 2.27-hectare neighbourhood park.

The project is scheduled to be completed in three phases, beginning in the north and progressing toward Barnsdale Road. The first phase would include the park and stormwater management pond.

Minto Group is also working on another Manotick development called Mahogany at 108 Moretto Court. According to the company's website, the first four phases are complete with the fourth currently under construction. Mahogany is expected to create 1,400 residential units in total, with some homes containing up to seven bedrooms, plus new green spaces, a six-acre park, and a school.
