Billings Bridge Shopping Centre is welcoming a new anchor tenant as part of a broader revitalization effort. Winners will open a 24,233-square-foot store next month across from Walmart, offering brand-name apparel, footwear, home decor, beauty products and accessories.

The mall is simultaneously undergoing significant upgrades to its common areas and food court, with renovations slated to wrap by end of summer. Changes include upgraded lighting, new flooring, modernized ceilings, refreshed architectural finishes, fresh paint, and a redesigned food court.

"The addition of Winners further strengthens the Billings Bridge Shopping Centre's retail offering and reinforces its position as a premier shopping destination in Ottawa," Salthill Capital, the mall's asset manager, said in a release. "These investments reflect our commitment to continually enhancing Billings Bridge and creating a vibrant destination that serves the needs of our community."

TJX Canada, Winners' parent company, hosted a job fair at the RA Centre in mid-May to staff the new location. Billings Bridge, which opened as a strip mall in 1954, now has more than 70 stores and services spanning groceries, retail, cafés and professional services. The revitalization mirrors efforts at other Ottawa malls: St. Laurent Shopping Centre announced last July it would add H&M, Sephora and Bikini Village along with digital upgrades.
