Repairs continue Sunday on Rue Saint-Louis in Gatineau following a major water main break that has disrupted traffic and water service across three sectors. The break occurred Friday, June 19, on Rue Saint-Louis between Boulevard de la Cité and Boulevard Maloney Ouest. Roadway repairs are ongoing, with traffic detours in place via the two boulevards. The city urged motorists to follow posted signage and plan travel accordingly. Reopening announcements will be posted on the city's social media and website. Residents in Gatineau, Hull, and Aylmer sectors continue to experience reduced water pressure and possible brief service interruptions. The city has asked residents to limit laundry, dishwasher use, lawn watering, vehicle washing, and pool filling until further notice. A boil water advisory remains in effect for approximately 45,000 residents in the affected areas.
