The Ottawa 67's selected nine forwards, three defencemen, and two goalies at the Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection held at Kingston's Slush Puppie Place over the weekend.

Among the 14 picks, two were local: Marcus Smolcic, a goalie with the Ottawa Valley Titans, and Cameron Sheppard, a winger from Stittsville who starred with the Arnprior Packers Jr. B's last season, earning 91 points in 41 games.

The 67's opened their selection in Round 1 with Andrew Laurin, a right winger from Belleville who played for the Quinte Red Devils U16 AAA. Laurin recorded 26 goals and 25 assists across 34 games last season.

Other early picks included Henri Packalen, a centre from Kingston, and Brayden Grima, a left winger from Toronto. The draft targeted eligible 15- and 16-year-old players and allowed the organization to address all three positions. Sheppard's selection in Round 11 and Smolcic's in Round 8 gave the 67's depth prospects with ties to the region.
