Ottawa police are searching for 13-year-old Nakita Morris-Copenace, who has been missing since Sunday, Aug. 16, at approximately 11 p.m. She was last seen at the Tunney's Pasture LRT station.
Morris-Copenace is an Indigenous female with a medium build, standing about 5-foot-7 and weighing approximately 120 pounds. She has shoulder-length black hair with pink on one side and blond tips on the other. Police noted scarring on her left arm.
When last seen, she was wearing a black Nike hooded sweater, black Nike sweatpants with a hole at the knee, and white Nike shoes. She was also wearing a dark-coloured New York Yankees baseball cap and a gold pull-string-style bracelet with a diamond on her right hand.
According to police, Morris-Copenace is known to frequent downtown locations, particularly the Rideau Centre and the ByWard Market. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service at 613-236-1222, extension 7300.
