Ottawa police seek two missing teens in separate disappearances
Police are asking the public's help locating a 13-year-old girl last seen near Fisher Avenue and an Indigenous youth missing from the Greenbank area since Thursday evening.

Update — September 25, 2026: One of the two missing teens, a 12-year-old youth, has been located safely, Ottawa Police Service announced Friday. Police thanked the public and media for their assistance in the search.
Ottawa Police Service is asking the public for help locating two missing 13-year-olds.
Layla Sante was last seen around 9:10 a.m. on September 23 near the 1400 block of Fisher Avenue. She is described as a Black female, 5'9" tall with a very thin build and piercings on both sides of her nose. She was wearing a pink GAP hoodie, grey or black pants, and slides or black shoes, and was carrying a black backpack.
Nikita Morris-Copenace, an Indigenous female, was last seen at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 24 in the area of Greenbank and West Hunt Club roads. She is described as 5'8" tall with a medium build, brown eyes, and shoulder-length black hair with blue streaks. She has scarring on her left arm and was wearing all black with black Nike or Jordan shoes.
