One woman dead, another airlifted in three-vehicle crash west of Ottawa

A 31-year-old woman was pronounced dead Friday evening at March Road and Diamondview Road. Police are seeking dashcam footage and witnesses.

A 31-year-old woman was pronounced dead on scene after a three-vehicle collision at March Road and Diamondview Road in far western rural Ottawa on Friday at approximately 5:42 p.m.

A 37-year-old woman was seriously injured in the crash and airlifted to hospital. The hospital where she was treated and her current condition have not been disclosed.

The preliminary cause of the collision and which vehicles were involved remain unclear.

Ottawa Police Service Fatal Collision Investigations Unit is asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to contact them at 613-236-1222, extension 2345. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 or at crimestoppers.ca.

HighOnCity reported that two collisions left one dead and another critical in the city, and three were hospitalized in serious condition after a west-end collision.
