Two seriously injured after vehicle hits pole on Fallowfield Road early Tuesday

Both occupants hospitalized in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. Fallowfield closed for pole repairs until late Wednesday.

Two people were taken to hospital with serious injuries after their vehicle left the road and struck a pole on Fallowfield Road early Tuesday morning.

The single-vehicle collision occurred at approximately 5:22 a.m. on Sept. 1 near Old Richmond Road. According to Ottawa Paramedic Service, both occupants were transported to hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver was a 22-year-old man and the passenger was a 22-year-old woman.

Fallowfield Road between Old Richmond and Eagleson Road was closed until late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning for pole repairs.

Ottawa Police Service is investigating. Anyone with information about the collision, including those with home security camera or dash cam footage, is asked to contact the Fatal Collision Investigation Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 2345.
