An 18-year-old from Yorkton, Saskatchewan has been charged with four terrorism-related offences following an investigation into concerning online activity. The teenager was arrested in Alberta on September 24 by the RCMP's Integrated National Security Enforcement Team (INSET), and charges were announced Tuesday. Identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The investigation began after a report of concerning online activity. Investigators found a Telegram user who allegedly posted videos depicting real-world activity as a member of 764, a transnational online ecosystem designated as a terrorist entity in Canada as of December 2025. The teenager was also referenced in numerous 764-related chatrooms on Discord and Telegram.

According to the RCMP, 764 is "a transnational online ecosystem of violent online predators who coerce youth to participate in acts involving child sexual abuse and exploitation, self-harm and the torture of animals." The network includes parts with extreme ideological views that victimize children.

The charges are: participating in the activity of a terrorist group, facilitating terrorist activity, and two counts of committing an offence for a terrorist group. The teenager was under 18 at the time of the alleged crimes.

A bail hearing is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon at Yorkton provincial court.
