The 2026 FIFA World Cup is spreading across North America with 16 host cities spanning Canada, the United States, and Mexico. As teams arrive for their opening matches, fans are turning up at airports to greet the players.

One fan in San Francisco took the excitement to another level when the Austrian national team walked through the terminal. "There's some handsome men out here!" she yelled as the players passed. "Oh, my god. Ya'll look good! Ya'll single? Who's single out here? Who's single? I'm single!"

Most of the players responded with smiles or laughs; others kept walking unbothered.

Austria opens its tournament Tuesday against Jordan at Levi Stadium in San Francisco, then faces Argentina on June 22 in Texas and Algeria on June 27 in Kansas City.

Canada's opening opponent, Bosnia and Herzegovina, arrived in Toronto on Sunday with noticeably less fanfare. The tournament officially kicks off Thursday when Mexico faces South Africa in Mexico City.
