One of two Calgary men accused in Medicine Hat shooting arrested

Robert Bourassa, 31, was arrested by Calgary Police on July 31 in connection with a shooting in Medicine Hat on April 29 that critically injured a victim.
Bourassa attempted to flee during arrest and was apprehended after police deployed a service dog. He has been remanded into custody pending a bail hearing, according to Medicine Hat Police Service.
Levi Chudyk, 26, also of Calgary, remains wanted in connection with the same shooting. The victim was airlifted to a Calgary hospital and, as of late July, was still recovering from injuries. Police are asking anyone with information about Chudyk's location to contact Medicine Hat Police Service at 403-529-8481.
Bourassa and Chudyk face charges including aggravated assault and discharge of a firearm with intent to wound.
