While one player claimed the jackpot, the weekend's draws spread other significant prizes across the country: two people split a $5 million Classic Draw prize, with winners in Ontario and Yellowknife, N.W.T., each taking $2.5 million. Three more winners split the second prize, each receiving $89,102.50.
The last Lotto 6/49 jackpot winner before this was Emidio S. from Jarvis, Ontario, who took home $44 million on March 11. The Gold Ball prize has now reset to $10 million for the next draw on May 20.
