Costco Canada Recalls Multivitamins Over Metal Contamination

Kirkland Signature Women 50+ vitamins from a specific lot may contain loose metal pieces. Full refunds available at warehouses.

Costco Canada customers should check their medicine cabinets. The retailer has issued a recall for Kirkland Signature Women 50+ multivitamin tablets due to potential loose metal pieces in the bottles.

The recall affects only a specific lot—look for L5J46568W7 and EXP FE/2028 on the bottle neck. Those bottles were sold between February and May 2026 at Costco warehouses and online. If you have that exact lot, you should not consume the product.

It's categorized as a Type Two recall, which means exposure to the product could cause temporary adverse health effects—not life-threatening, but worth taking seriously. Health Canada takes these things seriously, and so should you if you grabbed a bottle during that window.

The good news: Costco's handling refunds at warehouse locations. No receipt needed; just bring the bottle in. Customer service is also available through the manufacturer, Vita Health Products, at 1-877-637-7557 or vitacs@vitahealth.ca.

Costco's had a few recalls lately, so if you're a regular shopper, it's worth scrolling their recall list every couple weeks. This one's isolated to that one lot number, but it's a reminder to actually check labels on supplements and vitamins—manufacturing issues happen, and the sooner you catch them, the better.
