Two people have died and one is injured after a helicopter crash in B.C.'s central coast on Tuesday morning. The Hughes 500 went down at 6:15 a.m. in the Loughborough Inlet area during forestry operations, according to West Coast Helicopters.
The aircraft was carrying a pilot and two crew members. Riley Browne from West Coast Helicopters and a crew member from CFMG—the forestry operation partner—did not survive. One person was rescued from the wreckage.
The Transportation Safety Board has deployed investigators to the site to determine the cause of the crash.
