Canadians can still claim a share of a $1.85-million Keurig Canada settlement, but only until July 8, 2026—just days away.

You qualify if you bought Keurig K-Cup pods or a coffee machine in Canada between June 8, 2016, and December 8, 2025, in packaging that made claims about recyclability. The lawsuit accused Keurig of misleading customers about how recyclable its single-serve pods and machines actually were, noting that many municipal recycling programs won't accept the pods. The Ontario Superior Court of Justice approved the national settlement on December 8, 2025. Keurig has denied any wrongdoing, but agreed to settle to avoid a longer court battle.

You don't need a receipt to file a claim, though having proof of purchase increases your payout. For K-Cup pods alone, you can claim up to $7 without a receipt or up to $50 with proof. For a Keurig machine, you can claim up to $25 if you can show you bought both a machine and a box of pods within the eligible period. You can submit one claim form covering both categories, which is where the roughly $75 maximum comes from.

The claim form is available on kcupsrecyclingsettlement.ca. Submit it to the claims administrator, Eqitas, before July 8. You can reach them by email at kcup@eqitas.org or by phone at 1-866-413-9973. Out of the settlement fund, the court approved $634,845.17 in legal fees and administrative costs, with whatever remains divided among all valid claims.
