Prime Minister Mark Carney's approval rating stands at 66%, according to new research by Spark Insights. The polling shows widespread approval of the government's performance across the country, with majorities in every region backing the administration.
Support spans party lines. A majority of Bloc Québécois voters and NDP voters approve of the government's overall performance, as do a third of Conservative voters. When asked to grade Carney as Prime Minister, 86% of respondents offered a passing mark, while 14% gave him an F.
Angus Reid's previous polling found Carney's approval rating ranks "among the highest recorded in available Canadian public opinion data."
