Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit is seeking public assistance in locating two missing children believed to be with their mother and father in British Columbia.

Lanakai Morrison, 6, and Karl Morrison, 4, are believed to be with Lanakai's mother Krista Morrison and Karl's father Daniel Ludwig, both wanted for abduction in contravention of a custody and parenting order. Police say the children are at risk.

The case is connected to an Amber Alert issued on July 8 and then rescinded. Police indicated there was "indication" the four were in B.C.'s Okanagan Valley near Vernon, and possibly travelling east toward the Kootenays. "They are very mobile and could be in Northern B.C., the Yukon or Alberta," said an RCMP media release.

The group was last believed to be driving a 2006 Red Ford F350 with a lift and larger tires, or possibly a motorhome. Lanakai has a slight build, long light brown hair and brown eyes. Karl has blonde hair. Krista Morrison is 5 feet 8 inches tall, medium build, long brown hair and eyes, and is 35 years old. Daniel Ludwig, also 35, is 5 feet 11 inches tall with a large build, brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crimestoppers.
