Calgary's Tate McRae delivered the game ball for Friday's FIFA World Cup quarter-final between Spain and Belgium at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

The 23-year-old pop star, known for hits including "Greedy" and "You Broke Me First," took the pitch in a black Adidas jacket and white pants before a crowd of 69,650. She stayed to watch the match and was later shown on the Jumbotron during the action.

Spain scored first through Fabian Ruiz in the 30th minute, before Belgium answered with Charles De Ketelaere in the 41st. Spain ultimately won when Mikel Merino scored in the 88th minute.

McRae's appearance marks another sports connection for the Calgary artist. She has been spotted at several Calgary Flames games since rising to prominence and previously collaborated with the NHL. Her involvement with FIFA suggests she will continue taking on sporting appearances in coming months and years.
